In the 1950's I came across this magnificent face in a book on China. There was no indication of who he was, or from what part of the country. There was only mention that he was a merchant.

It is a rule that if the subject I draw is repulsive to me I will make a very bad drawing. If interesting, I will exert all my efforts to make it as perfect as I am capable of. The singular meaning of finding this type of face in China thrilled me beyond words and I think this is the most supreme drawing I have ever made.

This is a pure Cro-Magnon racial type, having the tremendous nose of the proboscoid Human, which makes a long distance between the eyes and the mouth (the Socratic facial proportion) with an extremely short upper lip.

I place this face as being closely akin to our original Human ancestors. Through my findings, I know that our ancestors looked much like what has been termed microcephalic. Microcephalics (pin-headed, narrow shouldered) are overtly calm, gently stupid, slow moving, grinning simpletons. They were the first to be imprisoned and destroyed by the future Empire Amassers. But their human memory helps them to avoid danger, hence to survive. They are the noblest of beings.
