We knew each other for many years while I lived in California. He was an actor who had played in early motion pictures with Pearl White and had gone on to many roles in sound movies. Being of pleasant disposition, he was very companionable, and full of anecdotes. His wife was a well known astrologer and he too became apt in the pseudo-science.
